While Everstart is immensely popular among the customers for its fantastic line of batteries, Interstate is claimed to be one of the most popular brands in America. Everstart brings batteries to anyone’s budget with its high affordability.

On the other hand, Interstate swears by its robust performance outcome and excellent quality products. Both the brands have many automobile battery models. Still, the Everstart Maxx series and the Interstate MTZ series have created some real buzz on the market.

Everstart Maxx 78N is an essential lead-acid battery with metal lead-based alloy plates. The interior structure is flooded in the electrolyte solution. Interstate MTZ-34R is an AGM battery which is a sealed lead-acid battery. Interstate MTZ-34R provides 125 minutes of reserve capacity; this battery will provide power to the engine until the voltage decreases for almost 125 minutes. This amount of reserve quality is considered high enough to protect the sensors, lights, and other loads of the car in case of any emergency.

Cold-Cranking Amperage

Both Everstart Maxx 78N and Interstate MTZ-34R provide the same cold-cranking amperage or CCR, which is 800. These batteries can deliver 800 amps in 0F temperature for 30 seconds to start a vehicle by maintaining a voltage of 12V. Now, the higher the CCA is, the better the starting of the engine will be. Higher numbered CCA batteries help the car start even in freezing weather.

Also, if you buy a battery that has the same CCA that is the same or nearly the same as the required CCA of the vehicle, initially, you won’t notice anything. But eventually, when the battery degrades over time, the marginal CCA and starting power of the vehicle becomes a problem as the degraded battery has ultimately dropped some of the CCA. Everstart Maxx 78N battery comes with a 3-year replacement warranty. Users can replace the parts or the battery for any fault within three years of purchase. Interstate MTZ-34R battery comes with a 48-month or four years warranty. Though both models are highly durable, the Interstate model claims a more extended warranty.

Dimensions

Everstart Maxx 78N is 10.90 x 7.35 x 7.29 Inches, and Interstate MTZ-34R is 10.82 x 6.76 x 7.84 inches; the dimensions of both the models are quite the same. We can see the length is almost the same, Everstart is more significant in width, and height is nearly the same for both models.

As in lead-acid batteries, dimension matters. Usually, a more prominent dimension means more fuel. Still, these models feature almost the same size, so the CCA, RC, and overall performance are quite the same.

Terminal Location

Everstart Maxx 78N has a positive terminal on the left side and a negative terminal on the right side. Interstate MTZ-34R has a reversed positive terminal position; it has a positive terminal on the right side and a negative terminal on the left side.

Weight

Everstart Maxx 78N weighs 37.3 lbs. which is quite a light handle yet provides a suitable power supply. Interstate MTZ-34R weighs 46.6 Pounds which is lighter than many batteries but does not compromise the power supply.

Our Observation

The main difference between Everstart Maxx and Interstate is in the warranty period. Everstart Maxx 78N battery comes with a 3-year replacement warranty, and the Interstate MTZ-34R battery comes with a 4-year replacement warranty.

If you are looking for a battery with a more extended warranty period, then the Interstate MTZ-34R battery would be better. However, if you are looking for a battery that is a bit lighter in weight, then the Everstart Maxx 78N battery would be a better choice. Both the models are highly durable and offer a great power supply. So, it ultimately depends on the user’s preference for which model to choose.
